Be Not Afraid

Ecstasy = Agony, Awakening = Crisis, Prophecy = Paranoia Born a slave in 1984 Discovered that my life is just a record they performed A maze where I was placed – This is Fucking Ecstasy, by Say Anything My first psychiatrist told me I’d never stop believing my paranoia. I was stuck forever wondering whether I was the victim of gang stalking […]

Archetypes and Digital Individuation

The Recommendation Algo’s are Commodifying Jung! (Part 3) Check out this banger by Carsie Blanton! (Video below) In the morning when I leave my den I moisturize with the tears of men Stir my tea with a crucifix I’m an ugly, nasty, commie bitch In the evening, when I’m on the rag, I just rip up a couple of American […]

Shadow Work

A call to action! Analyzing Silicon Valley’s commodification of Jung’s philosophy, part 2. If your declaration that you’re “not trying to be an asshole” gets little response besides a few laughing emoji reacts, it’s probably time to consider your tirade complete. Thankfully that’s exactly the way it recently went on one of the Discord servers I belong to. (Not the Creekmason […]

Too Overwhelmed to Move

Shrinking my bubble. Building up energy. Beating Depression. Maybe our depression has something to do with the dreary, over-industrialized dystopia steadily draining us. Maybe Aleister Crowley was right and masturbation can be used to cast spells… if so, what spell are we casting through the mental (and literal) masturbation we do while staring at our phones? Do these symbols of […]

Us-Care

Us-care is self-care for relationships; making space in an overfilled cup for more stress. My wife has an expression: “My cup is too full to handle any more bullshit.”  Well, ok. That’s not exactly it. She doesn’t say “bullshit.” That’s just a touch of my own self-mockery inserted into it. But the cup metaphor she’s invented is what we want […]

Sanity is a Group Project

How can you tell whether you’re sane? Does the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) that defines disorders characterized by this or that collection of symptoms really have anything to say about sanity?  I have a crystal clear memory of my textbook from a college psychology class defining “sanity” as arbitrary and subjective. Essentially, “conformity with the norm” as defined by […]

Why Am I Talking?

I’ve lived through insanity. Now, I serve by holding space as others’ worldviews crumble. I’ve spewed too much; I can never shut it up. I thought you should be warned. Every Man has a Molly by Say Anything I desperately chug a Pabst. My eyes water as much from terror as from cold, tingling carbonation. The doorbell to my apartment continues […]

Blissy Meditation

Getting high simply sitting still: a better salve to late-stage Capitalism than Percocet Blissy Meditation isn’t quite the bland corporate mindfulness that will impress your boss via improvements to focus and productivity. On the other hand, it’s not likely to be your ejector seat from reality either. I don’t have the qualifications to know how much assistance it can be […]

All Relationship is Compromise

Relationship is compromise, but this isn’t a real relationship. Like those Pixar robots, GPT promises to take care of everything, prompting me to feel zero sting when I transgress any of its many, pre-configured faux pas and giving me zero limitations to agency.

I don’t even need pants, much less shoes or ambulation.

Listen to Fear; Find What Feels Good.

That icky anxiety you’re buzzing with is just your lizard brain’s “resistance” to growth and you can use fear as a compass that orients you toward personal and economic success. Productivity gurus advertise leaning into our fears to find the edge of our comfort zone and push ourselves to new heights. But should we, at least occasionally, listen to fear?

Not this time…
